Stress and Skin Care
At one time or the other, many of us would have battled with stress or dealt with anxiety.
Stress has been discovered to NOT ONLY have a toll on certain areas of one's health but it also affects the skin and the way it looks.
There are times that acne outbreak is just simply sparked up by increased stress. This can be managed and it will be resolved through the means of simple consultation that will help our clients in embracing a change in lifestyle. (Diet change is also advocated in this case).
Perhaps one of the condition that arises as a result of stress which most often overlook but is weighty is skin aging.
Yes, the more you're stressed, the more you look old.
A stressed body helps to release cortisol in the body. This hormone breaks down collagen (which is the tissue that gives your skin that firm look) in your skin
According to a research carried out in 2012, published on Plos journal, psychological stress is deeply associated with biological aging. The study revealed that the DNA protein complexes that cap chromosomal ends in cells (telomeres) of those who experience work related stress tend to be shorter. The shorter the telomeres get, the likely the cells get damaged or die faster.
Work related exhaustion and stress always have a toll on the skin's health leading to premature aging.
One of the keys to looking young is staying stress -free.
