The way forward
The Alpha Hydroxyl Acid group. (AHA)
This group of chemicals are found in the fruits and food we take daily. They are potent when it comes to restoring one's skin back to it's original fair state without one resorting to picking cosmetics that claim to be lightening but with bleaching effects on the skin.
These chemicals are
1. Anything with Citric acid . Eg 🍋 lemon
2. Anything with Lactic acid Eg. Milk, yoghurt
3. Anything with glycolic acid E.g sugar
4. Anything with malice acid Eg. Apple
AHA are added to some lightening cosmetics by manufacturers (Usually you will see "contains AHA) .
The fact is that those seeking to have a bleaching effects on their skin will be dissatisfied with such products. It doesn't bleach the skin but restores the complexion to its fair state when used consistently. After using such products, you are still recognisable.
AHA are powerful exfoliants and can be used at home in homemade skin care. A little lemon and milk there, a little sugar scrub here goes a long way in skin rejuvenation than what kojic acid, Hydroquinone, arbutin and the host of others will do
