To Cuddle a Teddy

Teddy Roosevelt liked hunting down bears. Little did he know what impact his life term hobby would make. Little girls love teddies. Fluffy tawny beasts turned to objects of adoration. So it is with gals who love bad boys. It’s not in any way like giving a frog a kiss to turn it to prince charming. It is more like making a pet out of a cub. Bears are bad and they invoke fears. Yet, when they are stuffed, fluffy with tiny little button eyes we get mesmerized and adore them as toys.  A bear being a brutal beast is then seen as a sweet, soft toy, a companion, cuddled, and cared for. So is a play boy in the heart of a good gal.

He is got a masters degree in the art of heartbreaking. A playboy to the core, and everybody knows it, yet some ladies seem to be endeared to him. Chances are that he would break her heart but she would rather have it broken than not give it away to him on a platter of gold. He has his card ready and he would soon drop the ace. His next move is to play you.

Playboys are everywhere and the sad thing is that some women fall victim. Just like there is femme fatale ready to clamp the claws on the unaware heart drawn away by the breeze of passing beauty, a playboy is like a grizzly bear, aggressive when it comes to mating and a cruel strategist too.

Male grizzly bears for example are very territorial and aggressive creatures when it comes to finding females to mate with. They could engage in a fight to finish with another male for the right to mate in a given area. They would fight a female for refusal to mate with them going as far as killing her cubs so they won’t be a competition (as long as there is a cub hanging around the female, mating could be almost an impossible task for the grizzly). Such is the creature stuffed into fluffy, soft, furs that lie by your bedside in the form of toy, given often by an admirer.

This I would rather see as a strategy, more or less what a playboy will do to prey on a naïve heart.

Chances are you are being played when a guy does some of the following:

·         He starts off real aggressive with romantic calls, love poems, whispering sweet things to your ears. He evens calls you to check up on your sick pet. Then all of a sudden, he goes dark for a while and you can’t get through to his line for God knows what reason.

·         He stops replying your text messages and your calls seem to be going into the voice mail.

·         He surfaces all of a sudden out of nowhere and professes an undying love, gives a flimsy reason he couldn’t contact you. Then you are being played.

·         You cannot define the relationship. You are neither dating nor courting. You simply have no explanation about the relationship. He calls you friends but he has probably told you things a lover should (tales) under the moonlight. Gal, you are being played!

·         He said he is doubtful about the future of the relationship but keeps showing signs that he wants to go on. Then, he is toying with your heart.

·         You have told him all about yourself and to you, he is a soul mate, except that you know so little about him. He encourages you to give details about yourself without telling you much about himself.

·         He likes to be physical with you and the relationship is based on sex, sex, and sex. Then, he is playing you

He is a bad boy, yet she doesn’t mind. Some ladies do like to cuddle a teddy
